References and Bibliography Using Zotero: Removing the Pain

zotero_logoCompiling a bibliography, editing footnotes and updating your citation styles for journals are all tedious, time consuming and error-prone tasks that take you away from researching and writing. But your computer can help!

This session will introduce you to Zotero, free software developed by academics for academia. Zotero can help you build and maintain a bibliography, create a library of references, maintain a database of notes, and collaborate on research projects.

It integrates with your browser allowing you to add citations from library catalogues and journal websites with a single click, and it works with Word processing software to make adding references and updating your bibliography hassle free.

By the end of the session you will be up and running with Zotero, and will have explored some of its more advanced features.

You should bring your PC, Mac or Linux laptop.
