How do I find and fund a Postdoc?

Wednesday 22nd February

Queens Building, W2.07, 14:00-16:00

Ideally for PhD students towards the end of their degree, this course is designed to complement ‘So you want to be a postdoc’ and will give practical advice and guidance once the decision to undertake a postdoctoral position has been made. The course will take place in a computer lab and participants will use group discussion and case studies to:

  • gain knowledge of how to seek independent postdoctoral research funding in their area and identify important funding organisations
  • explore important considerations when searching for suitable research groups in which to take up a postdoctoral position
  • gain practical experience of using online tools to search for suitable postdoctoral positions
